To those uninitiated in the ways of The Hundoshi, this story speaks of beauty within humility; The Legend Of Kitsune.
Born of humble origin and with magical powers that allow shape-shifting, Kitsune could dance between many noble forms yet most notably that of a beautiful woman, defiant in the face of injustice and exploitation. These magical abilities were said to grow with age and wisdom.
Consumed by the magic of The Kitsune Legend, we designed our classic style brief using super-smooth and soft organic bamboo fabric. This brief is perfect for chilling or taking on villains, demigods and anyone out to knock you off your mountain.

Kukai
“From little wonders come forth great delight.”
There are many paths to follow that lead the way to Hundoshi. Some unassuming. Others, vibrant and testing. Humble monk, founder of Shingon Buddhism, Grand Master Kukai Daishi had many a test thrown before him on his path to enlightenment. Yet each challenge strengthened his resolve as he performed all manner of miracles.
In respect of such spiritual fortitude, we present to you The Kukai. Woven from our high quality, super-smooth and soft organic bamboo material, and tailored for a short leg cut with snug fit, The Kukai reminds us that whatever surprises come your way, enlightenment can be found in the most unlikely of places.

Taishi

Sometimes its good to take humble reflection in doing things the right
way. Shotuku Taishi’s path was to bring harmony to a fractured society.
He brought reform to Japan and helped to heal the nation. Many historians called him the ‘Prince Charming of Japanese history’. We call him
‘The believer’. A true disciple of The Hundoshi way.
To honour him, we present to you The Taishi. The cornerstone of our collection, a no-fuss contemporary design tailored using our high quality, super-smooth and ultra-soft cloth lovingly harvested, then woven from organically grown bamboo. Be comfortable. Yet confident.

Yukimura
“Time sits in endless judgement. Yet our moment will live forever.”
Some say the way of The Hundoshi is true to the ancient, harmonious philosophy of In-Yo. Yet, we believe The Hundoshi is the spark that makes disparate stars align, giving birth to greatness.
General Sanada Yukimura was such a spark. A Samurai of the Sengoku period and victor of Osaka, Yukimura united all, inspiring the impossible and more.
In honour, we tailored a garment woven from the highest quality, super-soft organically grown bamboo yet tailored to the sharpest of designs. The Yukimura is a humble reminder that amongst all the daily madness life throws our way, look for magic under every stone.
